He played Menoth and another friend of mine at the time had Khador. After purchasing Mk 1 Prime, I was torn between Cygnar and Menoth. After getting a glimpse at the newly released Escalation, I went with Cygnar.
I came to run a simple list of Lt. Caine, 2 Hunters, and a fielding of troops to make the difference.
Well, its coming up on 8 years and I was looking at some of my early work... thick paint, little highlighting, glue problems... a lot of rookie mistakes. Given that I had never been into models as a child and this was the first miniatures game I was getting into, I can be allowed a little leeway.
Now I'm going back and reclaiming the models. Paint is getting stripped. Metal is getting an acetone bath to remove any excess glue. I'm going over each model and making small conversion tweaks as well to fix handful of things as well as modifiy them for theme and aesthetics.
